In this course, students will learn the definitions of these terms and discover why usages of sustainable natural resources is so important. Students will be given chance to look at their own trash and then students will learn a lot about how and why they throw things away. Students will also conduct a service-learning project, and in doing so, they will find ways to cut down on the waste they produce and improve how waste is managed in their community. Total time allocated for this lesson is 24 hours.
